The Game Bakers’ Furi is an intriguing hack and slash title with Afro Samurai influences and a neo-noir art style. It’s coming to the PS4 and PC next Spring, which only makes the lack of an Xbox One release even more conspicuous.
GamingBolt spoke to creative director Emeric Thoa about an Xbox One release and if there was any specific reason Furi wouldn’t be coming to Microsoft’s console. Thoa stated that, “Launching on many platforms simultaneously is a huge challenge. We are focusing on PS4 and PC at the moment to provide the best experience.”
As for its resolution and frame rate, 1080p resolution and 60 FPS is currently the goal. “That’s what we are aiming for. At the moment, it runs at 50 and we didn’t do the full optimization yet. The game is so fast paced and requires such reflexes that it’s not playable at 30fps.”
