Now that we know Gears of War 4 is going to be coming in October, we’re getting a ton of other information about the game. We’ve known for a while there was going to be a beta before the full game launched. In fact, those who purchased Gears of War: Ultimate Edition were promised months ago they would be getting access to this beta. Now we know that beta is going to be pretty good looking, if the studio head for The Coalition, Rod Fergusson can be believed.
Fergusson was answering questions about the full game and the beta for Gears of War 4 when he ran across one fan who had heard rumors the game is going to run at a lower resolution. Fergusson was asked whether this beta was going to only be running at 720p. He was quick to answer on his social media account that there ins’t any truth to those rumors. The development team is planning on offering the beta at the full 1080p.
That’s just the latest piece of good news for a game that has been getting a ton of positive coverage in the past. Gears of War 4 will be launching on the Xbox One on October 11, 2016.
