Gears of War Judgment Gets A Cinematic VGA 2012 Trailer, Shows Some Gameplay

The latest trailer shows some cinematics and gameplay footage.

It’s been a few hours since VGA 2012 concluded but some hot news and updates still continues to come in. This time we have got a 70 second trailer from Epic Games and People Can Fly’s latest video game in the Gears of War franchise: Gears of War Judgment. The trailer shows Cole and Baird in action and apparently they are facing a sentence for some sort of legal charge. Of course, we can’t say for sure the reason behind this as the developers won’t spoil the plot. At the end of the trailer, the entire city (may be Halvo Bay) is shown to be burning.

The trailer also shows some amazing gameplay footage, new types of locust, story elements and just like previous games in the series, Gears of War Judgment looks impressive. Check out the full trailer below:

The game is scheduled for a release next year in March exclusively for Microsoft’s Xbox 360. The game is being developed by both Epic Games and People Can Fly, the team behind 2011’s first person shooter Bulletstorm. The game runs on Unreal Engine 3.5 which is Epic Games’ propitiatory engine.

For the first time in the series, Gears of War Judgment does not pit Marcus Fenix as the main protagonist but instead focuses on his sidekicks Cole and Baird. The game will also include a new mode called as ‘Extraction’.  The game will features two multiplayer modes which are OverRun and Free-for-All. They will include maps like Gondola and Island.New characters include Sofia Hendrik and Garron Paduk.
