Gears of War Ultimate Edition 5 GB Patch Now Live, Fixes Boomshot Hit Registration

Warzone returns as permanent playlist while Assassination is limited time mode.

The Coalition has released a large new title update for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition which fixes several errors and changes up certain multiplayer playlists.

Along with improving registration with the Boomshot, the update allows kills in Social playlists to count towards the “Seriously” Achievement. This means you won’t have to grind out the Achievement in single-player. Other fixes include one for long matchmaking times, improvements for the Left Trigger issue, fixing hit detection when shooting an enemy seeking cover in the Clocktower’s top pillars, and much more.

Blitz mode has also been moved from the Competitive to Social playlist while Warzone returns as a permanent playlist. Assassination is a playlist for a limited time while a new Competitive Team Deathmatch playlist has been added. You can check out the full patch notes here for more information.
