CES 2022 was an eventful event specifically where PlayStation is concerned, with Sony officially announcing PlayStation VR2 as well as Horizon Call of the Mountain. Some other smaller but still significant updates were also shared, however- such as updated sales figures for Ghost of Tsushima.
It’s been confirmed that Sucker Punch’s open world samurai action-adventure game has now sold 8 million copies worldwide. This includes both, the original PS4 version that launched in 2020, and Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, which launched for both PS5 and PS4 in 2021.
At last count, Ghost of Tsushima had sold 6.5 million units worldwide. When Sony announced that figure, they also confirmed that a film adaptation of the game was in the works, with Chad Stahelski – the director of all four John Wick films – serving as its director. Read more on that through here.
Ghost of Tsushima is available on PS5 and PS4.
