Ghost of Yōtei Has Gone Gold

Atsu's journey for revenge against the Yōtei Six throughout Ezo in 1603 is on track to kick off on October 2nd for PlayStation 5.

Following a showcase of the open-world title’s firearms (with some dual blades mixed in), Sucker Punch Productions announced that Ghost of Yōtei has gone gold. Principal development is wrapped, and the game will be sent for certification and physical disc manufacturing.

Of course, the development team will probably have a day-one patch ready, so stay tuned for more details on that. As a follow-up to the acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei launches on October 2nd for PS5. Set over 300 years later, it follows Atsu, the daughter of a blacksmith who seeks vengeance on the Yōtei Six for murdering her family.

While retaining many of the same combat and stealth fundamentals, Ghost of Yōtei adds new weapon types, each with unique skills. Players can also disarm enemies (and get disarmed, if they’re not careful), throw weapons, and much more. The progression is also lot more freeing as Atsu follows the leads to obtain the whereabouts of the Six. Stay tuned for more details before launch.
