It’s been a rough few days for Ubisoft. Not only did they have to delay several major titles, but that and poor reception and under performance of key titles caused their stock to tumble down. One of those titles was Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which apparently was way below the company’s hopes. But that isn’t going to stop Ubisoft from sticking with the troubled title.
In an official blog post called Moving Forward, the company made some big promises about trying to address the many issues that the game has. Not many specifics are given, but it does say several updates are scheduled for next month with the first planned raid hitting in December.
It’s easy to be cynical, especially with the amount of issues the game has and how some live service games that have underperformed were abandoned later. But Ubisoft has turned around games in a similar fashion, such as Rainbow Six Siege and For Honor, both of which launched in less than stellar states but were greatly improved as time went on. Hopefully Breakpoint can be another success story down the road.
