Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands is getting another significant free update today but it’s mostly meant for the PvP aspect of the game. Extended Ops is out on January 25th and adds a new game mode called Extraction along with two new maps – Institute and Garage – for Quickplay and Ranked.
Extraction is like a capture and protect mode where one team escorts two High Value Targets while the opposing team has to stop them. If it’s anything like Rainbow Six: Siege, then neither side can have the HVTs dying if they want to win. Check out the trailer below for more information.
Along with new maps, the update will bring new gear for both the base game as well as PvP. It will also add the new Battle Crates system to the mix (which should be live as of this time). Battle Crates are essentially loot boxes which contain random cosmetics of varying tiers. You can learn more about them here.
