Ghost Recon Wildlands, the open world co-op action game released by Ubisoft last year, was an immense success, buoyed even more so by some excellent and relentless post launch support by the publisher (including a whole new PvP mode that was added to the game months after its launch). And now, even though the game is over a year old, Ubisoft has confirmed its intention to continue supporting the game with more DLC and support for the coming year.
First off, something that all players of the game should appreciate: Ubisoft has confirmed that there will be an additional four free updates for the game, which, among other things, will add new content for the campaign and PvP modes. These will be available to all players without a single penny charged, regardless of whether or not they choose to purchase the DLC or the Season Pass(es).
There will also be a $30 Year 2 Digital Pass. Purchasers of this pass can expect all four of the free updates, an exclusive customization pack, four Special Ops battle crates, four Ghost War battle crates, and early access to all the new PvP mode Ghost War classes—in other words, there’s a fair bit here, whether or not that is enough to justify the $30 is, of course, up to you.
Regardless of whether or not you choose to buy the DLC Pass, however, Ubisoft’s support for the game must be lauded. Ghost Recon Wildlands is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
