Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered Announced For 2019 Release

Play the old Ghostbusters 3 before the new Ghostbusters 3 comes out in the cinema.

We reported earlier that a Taiwanese rating board had leaked a remaster of 2009’s Ghostbusters: The Video Game. Now it’s been made official with a new trailer from publisher Mad Dog Games and developer Saber Interactive.

You can check out the trailer below- it’s brief but gets the point across. If you’re not familiar with the game, it’s essentially Ghostbusters 3. Set a few years after the events of Ghostbusters 2, the game features all of the original Ghostbusters motion captured, modeled, and voiced by their original cast members in a new adventure that pits them against tons of ghosts, which ends up being far more than it seems. With an actual Ghostbusters 3 film coming next year, this game does lose some novelty, but fans of the franchise owe it to themselves to try it out. And with the passing of Harold Ramis, it will also mark the last time the original Ghostbusters crew will ever be together again in any format.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is slated to release later this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. The PC version will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
