After people start disappearing in Tokyo, strange beings and unnatural sights start to haunt the city. Evil is essentially taking over and it’s up to the player to stop it. As a new action-adventure title, GhostWire: Tokyo offers an intriguing aesthetic. Studio head Shinji Mikami also described it as having the longest development cycle of any game he’s worked on.
GhostWire: Tokyo will be releasing for PS5 in 2021. It’s been confirmed that the game will launch as a console exclusive for the PS5, though we can at least expect a PC release as well. We’ll have to wait for more information in the coming months. In the meantime, stay tuned for more announcements from Sony’s PS5 showcase event.
