Gloomwood is a New Indie Immersive Sim Out Now in Early Access

Indie stealth-based immersive sim Gloomwood is out now as an early access game. The game also got a new trailer showing off some gameplay.

Stealth first-person game Gloomwood has been released on Steam as an early access day. Alongside the release of the game, publisher New Blood and developers Dillion Rogers and David Szymanski have also released a new trailer for Gloomwood.

Heavily inspired by classic immersive sims like Thief, Gloomwood puts players in a Victorian English setting where they have to sneak around and use their tools and the environment to survive.

Gloomwood was originally unveiled with an Early Access trailer back in June during the PC Gaming Show. The game has a focus on stealth that goes alongside its more traditional combat. Its stealth system uses a combination of light and sound systems.

The game also features a hand-crafted city that allows for freeform exploration. Players can explore various rooftops, and even find hidden passages.

Gloomwood also has a decent arsenal, including a canesword as the stealth option, a six-shot revolver, a folding shotgun, traps, and a rope-slinging harpoon.
