God of War Ragnarok – Jotnar Edition’s Cloth Map Showcases All 9 Realms, Teases Surtr

The Yggdrasil cloth map from the recent unboxing video is full of all kinds of interesting details en route to the game's release on November 9th.

Sony’s God of War Ragnarok finally has a release date in November with pre-orders going live on July 15th. Along with the Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition, there are two physical editions – the Collector’s and Jotnar’s Editions. Both come with several physical goodies but the most interesting is the physical map of the nine realms.

An image from the unboxing video was uploaded by lhxward on Reddit and showcases everything. A few exciting details include what seems to be Surtr, the first Fire Giant, standing in Muspelheim. The Bifrost in Asgard can also be seen, while Niflheim appears to be much more snow-covered.

You could argue that much of this won’t appear in the game. However, while the map is being showcased, Santa Monica Studio art director Rafael Grassetti said, “We’re excited for the fans to explore all of the realms.” Time will ultimately tell but it’s hard not to get hyped.

God of War Ragnarok is out on November 9th for PS4 and PS5. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
