God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla Reportedly Goes Live at 9 AM PT Today, 7.667 GB in Size

The free DLC is also seemingly launching with update 05.001.000, though more details on its changes have yet to be revealed.

Sony Santa Monica’s God of War Ragnarok DLC Valhalla is out today, December 12th, and offers a new rogue-lite mode to experience. Kratos and Mimir venture to Valhalla, with the former on a quest to “overcome trials within himself” and face the “echoes of his past.” How big is the DLC, at least in download size?

According to @PlaystationSize on Twitter, who regularly checks the PlayStation Network backend, it reportedly requires a 7.667 GB download. The DLC goes live at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM GMT. Update 05.001.000 should also be available for the base game (since the DLC version is the same). There are likely changes and bug fixes, so stay tuned for more details when the patch notes go live.

God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla is free for owners of the base game on PS4 and PS5. Head here for the latest gameplay video from co-directors Mihir Sheth and Bruno Valesquez, discussing its various elements. Sheth touted an end-game challenge that no one on the development team could clear on the more challenging difficulty, “Show Me Mastery.”
