God of War Ragnarok Valhalla

After rumors of DLC or a standalone expansion to God of War Ragnarok, Sony Santa Monica finally revealed Valhalla at The Game Awards. It’s free DLC for the award-winning sequel and launches on December 12th for PS4 and PS5. Check out the first trailer below.

Valhalla sees Kratos and Mimir venturing to the titular location to undertake a “deeply personal and reflective journey” to a previously impossible future. It features the combat of the base game with rogue-lite elements. After falling, players go back to the beginning. Kratos seemingly starts without any gear but can unlock armor and perhaps even weapons and new abilities to aid in his runs.

Stay tuned for more details on God of War Ragnarok’s Valhalla DLC – it’s not long before we go hands-on with it. You can check out our review here, where we awarded it a 10 out of 10. It’s sold 11 million copies as of February 2023 and held the record for PlayStation’s fastest-selling first-party title before Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launched.
