Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.17 Goes Live, Adds New Cars and More

The racing sim's newest update has added three more cars to its roster, a new international circuit, and new menus in GT Cafe.

Polyphony Digital boss and Gran Turismo producer Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed recently that Gran Turismo 7 would be adding new content soon with new update, and that update is now here. Update 1.17 is live now, and much like update 1.15 less than month ago, it adds a decent amount of new content to the racing sim.

Front and center are the three new cars that have been added to the game’s roster of vehicles, with the Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special ’98 (which comes back to the series for the first time in a decade), the Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo (Gr.3 Version), and the 1932 Ford Roadster.

In addition to that, a new international circuit has also been added. The Watkins Glen International circuit is a New York State course surrounding by rolling hills. Its first half is all about high-speed sections and high-speed corners, while its latter half gives way to tighter, more technical turns.

Finally, three new menus have also been added to GT Cafe. There’s the Toyota 86 Collection and the Honda Type R Collection, which both open up at Collector Level 20, and the Rotary Engine Collection, which becomes available at Collector Level 32.

Check out the trailer below for a glimpse of all the aforementioned new content.

Gran Turismo 7 is available on PS5 and PS4.
