Grand Theft Auto 5 Patch Address “Graphical Issues”

Currently unknown if it the patch addresses recent parallax occlusion removal.

Rockstar Games has issued a new patch 1.10 for Grand Theft Auto 5 in both its story mode and the Grand Theft Auto Online multiplayer mode which addresses several graphical issues. That’s all that’s really known about it – Rockstar has neither released patch notes nor specified in its Support forums what the patch does.

Recently, Grand Theft Auto 5 suffered a significant visual downgrade on the Xbox One and PS4 with patch 1.08. It essentially removed parallax occlusion, increased pop-in and seemingly removed vehicle deformation. Rockstar became aware of the issues quickly and released patch 1.09 in response. This reduced pop-in and brought back vehicle deformation but parallax occlusion was still missing (despite reports of improved frame rates).

It’s unknown whether patch 1.10 is the next step to fixing these issues. Players have reported problems with their character races and faces seemingly being swapped out. Perhaps the patch addresses this. Regardless we’ll have more information on the same in the coming days.
