GreedFall Will Not Have Denuvo, DLC Or Mod Support

So good news mixed with some disappointing news.

GreedFall comes out tomorrow, and it looks to be the most ambitious game developer Spiders has worked on. The game takes us to colonial-based times, but mixes in supernatural beasts and curses in a mysterious story. Today might be somewhat of a mixed bag of news for the game, however, as several things have been confirmed to not be coming to the game. Some things that will make a lot of people happy, and some other things less so.

On the official forums for the game, the community manager posted quick FAQ of rapid questions and answers about the game. They confirm that the PC version of the game will not have the anti-tamper tech, Denuvo, something many PC players will be happy about. Something they probably won’t be happy about is that they also say there will be no official mod support for the game from the developers. So a bit of the good mixed with a bit of the bad.

Something that affects both console and PC players is that they also say that as of now, there’s no DLC support in the works. There is some preorder material that will, most likely, be available at some point for purchase, I imagine, but it seems that’s it.

GreedFall launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 10th. For a look at the game’s combat, exploration, and more, take look through here.
