Halo 3: Anniversary Does Not Exist, 343 Industries Reiterates

So "OMG stop" already.

This year marks the 10th anniversary for Bungie’s Halo 3. With 343 Industries confirming that it’s showcasing “a little something” at E3 2017 that’s not related to the series’ next mainline entry, many have assumed that Halo 3: Anniversary will be announced.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Halo community manager Brian Jarrard already said that Halo 3 wasn’t coming to Steam nor was Halo 3: Anniversary being developed. He took to Reddit again and outright said, “OMG stop. There is no Halo 3 Anniversary.”

While people certainly reserve the right to dream – and who knows what this “little something” could be if not Halo 3: Anniversary? – it seems like it’s not happening. Never say never but the odds aren’t all that great. At least the studio is still hard at work on Halo Wars 2 DLC.
