Halo 5 Guardians Is Going To Be Big For Us At E3 2015 – 343 Industries

Apparently if the fans want it, they will get it

Halo 5: Guardians is starting to reach that uncomfortable point in its development. Players got a taste of it with the Beta gameplay and since then they’ve been left high and dry with no information pointing towards an official release date. We expect them to have the game ready to ship before the year is out, but that could all just be a pipe dream.

Managing to name the game three times in the space of two short sentences, 343’s Bonnie Ross would appear to be looking forward to E3 later this year, saying “Obviously E3 is going to be big for us with Halo 5 and learning more about Halo 5. I’m incredibly excited about where we’re going with Halo 5 and I hope that fans will be too.”

She also commented on the ODST re-release that would see an improved version of the game arrive on the Xbox One. She said, “We did not plan on putting ODST out, I mean, I love ODST but we didn’t plan on putting it out because we’re pretty deliberate on the journey – the Master Chief’s journey -, leading up to Halo 5. When we looked at what people were asking for and what they would love to have, ODST was on the top of list so that why we’re doing it, but we had no plans to do it prior to that.”

I myself, and many others, agree that this wasn’t the case and that fan demand had little to do with the release of ODST on Xbox One and that it is instead a means of damage control for 343 after the disaster that was The Master Chief Collection. What do you think?
