Halo has never been a PC-centric title, even though the first two games released for the platform (that too after long gaps from the original Xbox releases). Unfortunately, if you were impressed with Halo 5: Guardians or even Halo: The Master Chief Collection, you’re going to have to keep waiting to see it on PC.
According 343 Industries’ Bonnie Ross in conversation with Eurogamer, “Right now we are focused on Xbox One. We’ve been on PC before, and Dan [Ayoub, 343 executive producer] has had games like Halo: Spartan Assault on there. “We’re listening to the PC fans, but right now this is all focused on Xbox One,” he said.
Tough luck but at least 343 Industries is interested in what the PC crowd has to say. Maybe if there’s enough demand, the franchise could arrive on PC sometime in the next few years. Or maybe not – it’s not an easy question to answer these days.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be out in November for Xbox One while Halo 5: Guardians releases next year.
