We may know more about 343 Industries’ Halo 5: Guardians than we did six months ago but that’s not saying much considering how secretive the developer has been about the core experience, gameplay mechanics and even the multiplayer (though a beta is coming up for the same this December). Most importantly, despite being billed for a 2015 release, it’s not really known when that could be.
That is, until eSports coach Michael Cavanaugh recently tweeted photo of himself after joining the team at 343 Industries. “I’m extremely happy and humbled to join the the 343 Industries team to work on @Halo 5: Guardians!”
If you look behind Cavanaugh, you’ll notice a number “382”. It could be that this indicates days until the game’s release and works out to November 10th 2015. It would be highly convenient, if Halo games weren’t known to release around the same time. In fact, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is releasing on November 11th 2014 for the Xbox One.
Take this with a grain of salt as usual. We’ll wait to see what Microsoft or 343 does with the tweet before being sure.
