As E3 2014 grows nearer, the feeling that Microsoft and 343 Industries will have more to reveal on the upcoming Xbox One Halo title, tentatively referred to as Halo 5, grows stronger. Whatever the Halo announcement may eventually being, it seems that 343 Industries is looking to implement some new multiplayer modes in it.

The developer recently posted a listing for Senior Multiplayer Designer. The individual will “be responsible for implementation and execution of features within the competitive multiplayer [PVP] experience.” One of the key responsibilities calls for “balancing and tuning existing competitive experiences, creating, developing, and delivering all new Halo MP game modes.”

Halo Reach and Halo 4 have pushed the boundaries for what multiplayer could offer, as Invasion and Spartan Ops have showcased. What could possibly be next and will it really apply to Halo 5 or the oft-rumoured Halo 2 Anniversary? Stay tuned as more information comes our way in the coming months and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
