Halo: The Master Chief Collection Patch Further Improves Matchmaking

Other issues including false matches and lobby problems have also been addressed.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection didn’t have the smoothest launch especially given the issues that hit its multiplayer matchmaking. Lag, unbalanced teams, long waiting times for finding matches…you name it. 343 Industries has been releasing patches to fix this but there’s still work to be done.

Regardless, a new patch has been released to further improve matchmaking. Matches will now begin as soon as minimum player counts have been set and issues that caused false matches to be created have also been fixed. The process of maintaining a party has also been made better. The post-game experience is also being improved, including fixing an issue where one player was sent to another player’s lobby instead of the matchmaking lobby.

You can head over to the Halo Waypoint page to view the full list of patch notes. Both Microsoft and 343 Industries are committed to making things right for fans so stay tuned for more details on some form of compensation.
