Microsoft recently announced a limited edition Halo-themed Xbox Series X, pre-orders for which went live on Wednesday. Unsurprisingly, the console sold out very quickly – and listings for the console have already appeared online portals such as eBay with price tags as high as $1,700.
Getting an Xbox Series X has been a monumental task for gamers, with a plethora of stock issues and widespread scalping preventing gamers to get their hands on the console. Thus, it stands to reason that the limited edition console will fare worse on that front. Scalpers haven’t made the ordeal any easier, and legions of fans have been extremely vocal about making scalping a crime punishable by law.
The limited edition console will release on November 15, which marks the 20th anniversary of the Halo franchise. Halo Infinite is dropping less than month later, and limited edition console owners will get a downloadable copy of the game included free of cost.
