In an interesting twist, it looks like the 360 has clawed back the lead built up by the PS3 due to the holidays in the US. Both the consoles sell 11 million each.
The PS3 is on track to hit the 15 million projection set by Sony for this FY.
The 3DS was the best selling hardware of 2011 due to solid performance in Japan, and other regions. 360 topped in the US and PS3 topped in the EU.
