Harmonix’s Amplitude Features Original Soundtrack from Jim Guthrie, Anamanaguchi and More

An immensely talented range of artists will be contributing to the rhythm game reboot.

Harmonix may only be releasing its crowd-funded title Amplitude, which is a reboot of the classic rhythm game, for the PS3 and PS4 but it has a ton of artists skilled in video game music for the soundtrack.

These include Jim Guthrie (Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, Indie Game: The Movie), Anamanaguchi (Scott Pilgrim Saves the World), Danny Baranowsky (Super Meat Boy, Canabalt), C418 (Minecraft), Kasson Crooker (FreQuency, Amplitude, Symbion Project) and Freezepop (FreQuency, Amplitude).

Amplitude Creative Lead Ryan Lesser stated that, “We’re thrilled to be able to collaborate with these incredible artists who have proven themselves more than capable of delivering amazing tracks and setting the tone for some of our favourite games. Alongside the new original music our audio team is composing, we can’t wait to hear what they bring to Amplitude!”

Amplitude has currently obtained $369,271 of its $775,000 funding goal with 4 days to go. Harmonix has revealed that the game will go back on the shelf if the Kickstarter fails so head on over to the page and help out if you can.
