Here’s something that all you niche gamers might enjoy- Harvest Moon, the games that made farming cool before Farmville burst onto the scene, is making its way onto the DS and the PSP, with a game each in the venerable farming sim series due for each handheld.
Harvest Moon: Frantic Farming hits the DS this fall. As per the developers, “Harvest Moon: Frantic Farming for the DS brings a new dimension to the Harvest Moon series, branching out into the puzzle genre, in an adventure that really puts the pace of players’ farming skills to the test.”
The DS game features twelve playable characters and a variety of different modes including story, mission and score attack.
he PSP game, the developers promise, will be the biggest Harvest Moon game on the PSP so far.
To progress players will have to grow crops, raise animals and mine ores and gems to help save Leaf Valley and their family farm.
Skills and money will be earned in part-time jobs, and gamers will also have to earn the trust of villagers to gain their help, apparently.
The games are due out in fall and winter this year, respectively, in the UK.
