Hideo Kojima Apparently Once Asked Cliff Bleszinski For Help With Silent Hill

'I was flattered, but declined.'

P.T. and Silent Hills will forever be a tragedy, doomed to live on in the collective consciousness of gamers everywhere, because of the tantalizing ‘what if?’ question that it raises. Much like the Dreamcast is for Sega fans, and Firefly was for TV aficionados, Silent Hills will always raise an irresistible counterfactual that keeps people talking about it years and years from now.

So each time we learn more about the game, we start wondering about what might have been, had the game actually come to fruition. For instance, there is this- Cliff Bleszinski says that Kojima reached out to him for help with developing the game. “Kojima once told me he wanted me to do a new Silent Hill w him together out of LA. I was flattered but declined,” he said on Twitter.

Cill Bleszinski on the project would certainly have been… well, something. Imagine him, and Hideo Kojima, and Guillermo del Toro, along with Norman Reedus, all working on the same game!
