Hideo Kojima Teases Work On New Concept Once More

The celebrated developer is at work on his next game.

Hideo Kojima has been talking about working on the concept of his next game for a while now, and though it’ll probably be a while before we hear anything concrete about it, the man himself keeps finding time to go to Twitter and tease out the details of the new project (or at least the fact that he’s working on it).

Recently, he did so once again, giving a glimpse of how he’s collaborating with art director Yoji Shinkawa during the current lockdowns to work on their next game’s concept. Kojima explained that through emails and texts, the two of them first discuss various details of the game, including “the setting for each character, the background, the world, the color, the characteristics, the roles, the images, ideas, and keywords.”

In another tweet, he talked about the music he’s listening to while working on his next game’s concept. Interestingly enough, the sketches seen on his table in the tweets seem to show what looks like a space ship. That might not mean anything, but as is often the case with Kojima, it might mean everything. Take a look below.

Kojima Productions have already said that they plan on working on multiple new projects, one of which will be “big” title, while Kojima himself has talked about what sort of games he would like to work on- one thing that keeps coming up is horror title. Meanwhile, actor Norman Reedus also said some time back that he and Kojima are in talks to work on some new things.
