Industrial Annihilation, a sequel to the real-time strategy game Planetary Annihilation, has been announced. Developed by Galactic Annihilation, comprised of those who worked on the previous game, it launches in Steam Early Access sometime in Q2 2024 for $29.99. Check out the announcement trailer below.
The sequel looks to combine “deep factory building” with RTS action, as players create production pipelines and units to battle the forces of Chaos. It will be available “about a year” after launching in early access, with the price increasing to $39.99. According to its Start Engine page, it supports one to two-player co-op and up to four players in competitive PvP (though single-player story campaign is also included).
It’s also developed in Unreal Engine 5 and promises “hundreds of hours” of progression and “infinite” replay value. There are no plans to produce a physical version, which could change leading up to or post-launch, with the developer keeping their options open. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
