Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare‘s finally managed to garner some good press for itself after its showing during E3, but when it was first revealed, it went on to become one of the most widely reviled trailers on YouTube, garnering a record number of dislikes. And even though a lot of the hate for the game since its debut has managed to cool down, a general feeling of ill will towards the game does seem to persist.
GamingBolt recently had an opportunity to sit down with Brian Horton, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Studio Art Director at Infinity Ward, and we asked him about the reception the game had garnered this far out from release, and what effect, if any, that had had on team morale.
“We have a very passionate fan base and it’s a very large fan base, as well,” Horton said. “Ultimately what happens: when you make something new for a Call of Duty there’s going to be a myriad of responses. What we believed was once we were able to show more of our content in context like we have at E3, people are getting a better idea of what this game really is and we’ve gotten an extremely positive response.”
He definitely is right, people seem to be more willing to give the game a chance at this point- which is good, because Infinite Warfare has always looked mostly good to me. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is due out in November this year for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
