With all the talk about how the Xbox One and Windows 10 are going to work hand in hand with one another. An interesting question has started to float around the Internet. Could that interoperability eventually mean that the Xbox One will be supporting a keyboard and mouse? The reasoning behind this is that there are going to be ways to play your Xbox One games on Windows PCs as long as you have Windows 10.
Since there is already going to be that kind of working relationship, it doesn’t seem to be a huge jump to think that sooner or later, you’ll be able to play your PC games on the Xbox One. In order to do that however, it would seem like a near prerequisite to support a keyboard and mouse. For Microsoft’s part, it appears that higher ups like Phil Spencer like the idea of eventually getting Windows 10 streaming to the Xbox One. Don’t get too excited though because the exec reiterated on Twitter that there aren’t any concrete plans to do that sort of thing just yet.
Good news for those hoping that it will indeed happen someday is that Spencer made the comment that it does need to happen at some point. Even better is that he went out of his way to say that he believes if it does happen (and he clearly wants it to) that full support for a keyboard and mouse need to be coming to the Xbox One at the same time. It seems like doing something like this would only help the Xbox One get that much more popular. Considering the console is already seeing an uptick in support, that would be a big positive.
