A new game based on classic movie Jurassic Park has been unveiled. Titled Jurassic Park: Survival, the game was announced at The Game Awards 2023 with a trailer, which you can check out below.
Most of the trailer features footage with protagonist Dr. Maya Joshi that has been seemingly left behind in the titular park, surrounded by hostile dinosaurs. The trailer indicates that Jurassic Park: Survival will mostly be about trying to survive encounters with the dinosaurs, rather than fighting them.
The latter part of the trailer does offer a few glimpses of what could potentially be gameplay, however, which indicates that Jurassic Park: Survival will be a first-person game with an emphasis on survival, movement with parkour, and exploration.
Interestingly, Jurassic Park: Survival shares its name with a cancelled game from back in 2001, which was to be developed by Savage Entertainment and published by Konami. The original game was slated to have gameplay similar to the Tomb Raider titles of the time.
Jurassic Park: Survival doesn’t have a release date, but is slated to come to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
