Kingdom Hearts 3 And Final Fantasy 7 Remake Ranked Ninth And Fourth Respectively In Latest Japanese Charts

A king bows out on the top.

The newest Famitsu Weekly Most Wanted rankings see the final appearance of Pokemon Sun/Moon– since the games are now out, they will no longer be listed on this chart. They end their run in second place, ranked 861 points, well behind Final Fantasy 15, which keeps its stranglehold on first place, with 1,336 points.

Final Fantasy 15 is far and away the most anticipated game on the chart- nothing else even comes close. Take Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which is ranked in fourth place, with less than half the points at 688. Square Enix’s own Kingdom Hearts 3 fares even poorer, coming in at ninth place, with only 326 points to its name- this is what stringing out a hype cycle for a game for so long does, guys.

Interestingly enough, Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda slips several positions this week, and is no longer even in the top ten (it places fourteenth). No doubt Nintendo will want to look into changing that- but for now, it seems, Final Fantasy 15′s reign at the top of the chart goes unchallenged. It will be interesting to see if it actually manages to perform as well as this chart would suggest, when it finally launches this Tuesday.
