Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts 3 has received some new gameplay footage courtesy of a new trailer that recently dropped. While in Japanese, it showcases some pretty awesome mechanics. Check them out below.
The gameplay trailer first sees Sora, Donald and Goofy fighting against an enormous boss, running up the walls to reach it. From there, the battle begins proper and devolves into Sora summoning a magic train. It’s crazy but pretty much par for the course from Kingdom Hearts.
Later the gameplay trailer becomes more intriguing. Not only does it showcase more footage from Toy Story’s world but we also get a look at Sora’s Keyblade transformations. From a drill-like device to an enormous hammer and eventually a mace, there’s tons of variety on hand. Though it’s running at 30 frames per second, the action and animations look incredibly fluid overall.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is currently in development for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. What are your thoughts on the gameplay? Let us know in the comments.
