Nintendo has released a new trailer for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, its upcoming 3D action-adventure platformer for Nintendo Switch. It’s fairly short and provides a brief look at some of the environments, co-op, combat and Mouthful Mode. Check it out below.
As a celebration of Kirby’s 30th anniversary, the title sees our hero venturing to the Forgotten Land. He encounters new foes called The Beast Pack and must fight them to rescue the Waddle Dees they’ve kidnapped. Many of the same gameplay elements as previous games, like copying abilities from foes, have returned and made the jump to 3D.
Mouthful Mode is a whole different beast though – it allows Kirby to possess inanimate objects like cars, vending machines and traffic cones. It’s almost like Super Mario Odyssey’s Cappy (but somehow even more terrifying). Kirby and the Forgotten Land will release on March 25th for the Switch. For more gameplay footage, head here.
