Knack director Mark Cerny, who you may also know as being the chief system architect of Sony’s PlayStation 4 console, recently spoke to IGN about his upcoming cartoony platformer and revealed how long it would take to complete on the first time through.
“It’s not apparent from the E3 demo, but [Knack] is a very story driven adventure. The first time through should take about ten hours, and then we have included a lot of features that make it interesting to play again.”
Knack will also have “hundreds of secret rooms” which will contain treasure chests, gadgets and crystal relics which Knack can use to power up and wreck havoc on his enemies. The game will take inspiration from franchises like Crash Bandicoot and Katamari Damcy with the staff having worked on titles like Shadow of the Colossus, Ape Escape and more.
Knack will be launching along with the PlayStation 4 this holiday season. Check out our preview of the game here.
