Kojima Productions Will be “Releasing Content” to Celebrate 7th Anniversary

The Death Stranding series developer will celebrate its anniversary on December 16th. It was founded in 2015 after Hideo Kojima left Konami.

Kojima Productions has announced a celebration for its 7th anniversary on December 16th. To commemorate the same, it will be “releasing content.” Whether this is a new video going over the developer’s work over the years, a tease for the recently announced Death Stranding 2, or something else remains to be seen.

Founded in 2015 after Hideo Kojima departed from Konami, Kojima Productions has about 100 employees. It released one game over its lifespan – Death Stranding, which debuted on the PS4 and has since launched on PC. The action-adventure features a star-studded cast, with Norman Reedus playing the protagonist Sam Bridges.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut would be released for PC and PS5, adding new content. Both versions have had over 10 million players to date. As for Death Stranding 2 (the project’s working title), it’s confirmed for PS5 but doesn’t have release window. Kojima Productions is also working on another title, with rumors claiming this to be Overdose and starring Margaret Qualley.
