Kojima’s Next Game Will Play Smoothly for Fans of Uncharted, The Division

Metal Gear Solid creator provides slight new details on his newest game.

We haven’t heard much from Hideo Kojima regarding his next major project since founding Kojima Productions after leaving Konami. However, the man has been busy. Speaking to Famitsu, he noted that his triple-A title will appeal to those who enjoy games like The Division and Uncharted.

“I won’t say that it’s an open-world title, but those that enjoy playing today’s AAA titles such as The Division and Uncharted will be able to play it smoothly. Some parts are very new, so I’ll need to experiment with it. When it gets announced some may think that it’s not as way-out as they had expected, but I’m sure they’ll understand once they play it.”

Kojima is currently in the process of working out the character, plot and system. He’s also happy with the freedom Sony has provided him. There’s currently a temporary office for Kojima Productions and even the logo is still incomplete. Plans are in play for a full image.

“I can’t say [more about it] yet, but the secret is found in the logo. The whole body [of the logo] actually looks super cool, and we’re planning on making it into a figure.”
