LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight’s Batcave Evolves Alongside the Hero (and Even Has Pinball)

It even includes its own LEGO Batman: The Videogame to go with all the vehicles, suits, and trophies from iconic villains.

What would a Batman game be without the Batcave? LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight recognizes this and is going all out to make its take on the Caped Crusader’s base the most feature-packed ever. However, it initially begins as “little more than a hole in the ground, filled with bats. Bats, and…the stuff left behind by bats,” per TT Games’ Jonathan Smith. Also, fear, for all those Batman Begins fans.

As Batman establishes his presence in Gotham City, players can expand the location further to store Batsuits and Batmobiles. Alongside upgrading gadgets and skills, you can display trophies from vanquished villains, and even customize the furniture and equipment. Even the Batcomputer isn’t spared from this extensive customization, showcasing various kinds of data and even featuring multiple screensavers.

You can even unwind with some pinball or a version of LEGO Batman: The Videogame within the game. Besides exploring the open world and stopping crime, Batman can “race, blast, drift, and crash” through the streets (seemingly having way too much fun in the process). The vehicle gameplay shouldn’t be as overbearing as Batman: Arkham Knight, though, so rest easy.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches on May 22nd for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version yet to be dated. Head here to learn more about the various henchpeople that the Dark Knight will face.
