Lionhead Studios is currently busy at work, developing Fable Legends, the multiplayer Fable RPG that will be hitting the Xbox One some time this year. But now, OXM has unearthed what it thinks might be evidence of a new, ‘high tech’ game that the studio might also be working on, though it does note that this could simply be Fable Legends.
Citing job listings on Microsoft’s website asking for people to join Lionhead on ‘an ambitious and exciting new title,’ OXM reasons that the fact that Fable Legends is not explicitly listed on the job listings- as it should be, since considering the game has been announced at this point, there is no reason for secrecy- it implies another new game in the works at the studio.
One of the listings calls for experience with working on MMORPGs, Multiplayer games or Action/Adventure titles on Xbox 360, PS3, or PC.” Working with Unreal engine and on games “as a service” are listed as “highly desirable” experiences.
What this game is, we don’t quite know yet, but considering that Lionhead has literally never worked on a game that was not Fable, I guess it’s a safe bet to assume that this will, in fact, be a new Fable, whatever it is.
