Nintendo’s E3 Direct put the spotlight on a lot of their upcoming games and their respective release dates. We got specific dates for Daemon X Machina, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and the unfortunately delayed Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Oddly, though, one of the most highlighted games of the Direct, Luigi’s Mansion 3, did not get that, with Nintendo only giving a vague ‘2019’ release. Well, today Nintendo has released a calendar of the various releases for the Switch that clears that up a little bit.
As you can see from the schedule below, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is slated for Q4 2019. That would put the game somewhere between September-December (this calendar seems to be based on the full calendar year and not the fiscal one, so Q4 shouldn’t extend to 2020). September is already packed, so that’s unlikely. October seems like a good month due to the game’s spooky theme. November has Pokemon, which makes it unlikely that Nintendo will want to release another game in that month. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate released last year in December, so that’s also a possibility. Hopefully, we’ll have a solid date for the game soon.
So yeah- Luigi’s Mansion 3 will release some time this year for the Switch. In the meantime, get look at the gameplay shown off at this year’s E3.
