Classic Japanese RPG duo Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue are getting remastered for release on PS4, PS5, Xbox, Switch, and PC. Bundled as Lunar Remastered Collection, the games are set to hit the consoles in Spring 2025. Check out the trailer below.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, GungHo Online Entertainment America product coordinator Asca Akiyama talks about bringing the classic RPGs to modern consoles, along with modern features like support for widescreen displays, HD animated cutscenes, and new English voice acting.
Players will also have the option to switch to the game’s original visuals, while also having new quality-of-life features like a toggle to speed up battles, and new strategy settings.
Lunar: Silver Star Story revolves around a boy named Alex, who sets off on a quest for adventure and treasure. The arrival of the Magic Emperor changes things, however. Lunar: Eternal Blue takes place 1,000 years after the original, revolving around a protagonist named Hiro. The plot kicks off when Hiro meets Lucia, who insists that she must be taken to the Goddess Althena.
