Avalanche Studios’ Mad Max is now available on Steam and it’s an excellent PC port. If Just Cause 2 was anything to go by, the number of performance issues are next to nothing. However certain users have faced issues so we have compiled a guide to help them out. Please be advised that the following methods are to be used at the sole discretion of the platform owner. GamingBolt or its staff members take no responsibility for problems that may arise or issues that may occur from trying the below. Always remember that official support is always the best support.
If the game is crashing at launch, make sure you have updated drivers for your AMD/Nvidia GPU. If this does not work, try checking your system configuration against the minimum requirements of the game. If you are still facing crashes, try and verify the Steam cache files. A similar solution if suggested for players who are facing fps drops or lag.
If you are facing issues with the controller sensitivity, right click on Mad Max -> Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files -> Open Settings In Notepad -> SensitivityYaw and SensitivityPitch values are to be changed accordingly. If you are seeing blurry textures try turning off the Haze option from the graphics settings. If the game is not starting or you are seeing a Black screen, try using an Xbox 360 controller.
Note: Given that the wide range of PC hardware out there, the fixes mentioned here may or may not work for you. But it’s worth giving them a shot since these have worked for players who own the PC version of Mad Max.
