That time of year is quickly approaching, as the American football season is prepping up to begin in the summer, and as usual, the game series of the biggest league, Madden NFL, is getting its annual release with Madden NFL 2020. The game will release in August, right before the official start of the season, and the cover spot this year goes to the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes.
EA promises this year that the game will see a new, revised campaign mode called Face of the Franchise: QB1, where you create your college quarterback and start a personalized career campaign mode. It will also feature Superstar X-Factor, a progression and ability system that’s said to reveal special abilities for players. It’s not clear yet exactly how that affects the game, but more information will most likely come closer to release.
Madden NFL 2020 will release on August 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will have three editions: Standard, Superstar, and Ultimate. Superstar and Ultimate Editions will get 3 days’ early access to the game as well as multiple bonuses. You can check out more details at the game’s product page, and the reveal trailer below.
