Montreal-based developer Borealys Games announced today that its very first game, Mages of Mystralia, which raised CA$ 234,238 on Kickstarter, will be launching very soon- in fact, it will be launching next week on PC, on May 18.
Console versions of the game, due for PS4 and Xbox One, are still on track to release, too- but as of right now, there is nothing further to share on their status. That said, Borealys Games has confirmed that it will have more information to share on the release of the console versions of the game shortly.
As for the game itself? Think a Harry Potter skinned Zelda (which is, basically, like the greatest nerd fantasy come alive). The game sees you play as Zia, and discover runes that let you create and modify your own spells. You can check out the launch trailer below to see for yourself what the game is about.
Personally, I am excited for this.
