Today’s an auspicious day for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe owners that purchased the Booster Course Pass. The first wave of new DLC courses releases today, bringing eight remastered courses from across the franchise to Nintendo Switch. Check them out in the latest trailer and TV commercial.
Wave 1’s courses include Paris Promenade,Tokyo Scramble and Ninja Hideaway from Mario Kart Tour; Coconut Mall from Mario Kart Wii; Toad Circuit from Mario Kart 7; Choco Mountain from Mario Kart 64; Sky Garden from Mario Kart Advance; and Shroom Ridge from Mario Kart DS. Five additional waves will be released by 2023 end for a total of 48 DLC courses. While many are unknown, data-mining has determined what the remaining Cups will be called.
The Booster Course Pass retails for $25 but it’s also included with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. A one-year subscription to the latter costs $49.99 and offers access to classic Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis titles. F-Zero X is the most recent N64 title added to the service – learn more about here.
