Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Receiving Remastered Classic Courses as DLC, First Wave Out on March 18th

The Booster Course Pass costs $25 standalone and offers 48 remastered courses in six waves. The first wave offers eight courses.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass

Nintendo finally announced something new for Mario Kart fans but it wasn’t the rumored Mario Kart 9. Instead, it’s more courses for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Courses from previous games are being remastered as paid DLC and included in the new Booster Course Pass. Check it out below.

Classics like Choco Mountain and Tokyo Blur are included in the line-up, and look fairly sharp. There are 48 courses in total which will be released over six waves – the first wave arrives on March 18th and offers eight courses. All of these can be played locally and online.

The Booster Course Pass will retail for $25 but is also included free in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass (which 12-month memberships for individuals costing $49.99). Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is available exclusively for Nintendo Switch and has sold 43.35 million units in its lifetime. Combining Wii U sales of the original, it’s sold over 51 million till date.
