Mario Kart Tour Android Beta Starts Today, More Details Revealed

Beta participants should start receiving mails confirming access.

Mobile players – or at least those who registered on May 7th – will finally have a chance to play Mario Kart Tour. Last month, Nintendo announced dates for the beta on Android – it goes live today and ends on June 4th. The beta is only for Android and limited to residents in Japan or the United States.

Applicants that pre-registered and have been chosen for the beta should be receiving emails. They’ll eventually be able to download the client from the Google Play Store. Signing up for the beta doesn’t guarantee access so, don’t freak out if you didn’t get a mail. As such, Android users will need Android 4.4 or later, a mobile phone obviously, and 1.5 GB of RAM to run the game.

Beta players are advised to not share any gameplay footage or images. Progress also won’t carry over into the full game, and several aspects – like abilities, gameplay features, and so on – are liable to change. There’s no word yet on when iOS users will get beta access, so stay tuned for more information.

As for a release date, Mario Kart Tour is still slated to release in Summer 2019.
